Woodward and Bernstein take a stand for the truth

THESIS:

By questioning the actions of the government and exposing the Watergate Scandal in 1972, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein demonstrated to the people of America the importance of taking a stand for the truth, the public’s capability to hold powerful individuals accountable, and as a result changed America’s attitude towards investigative journalism.

"Watergate provides a model case study of the interaction and powers of each of the branches of government. It also is a morality play with a sad and dramatic ending." - Bob Woodward [2]
